The OLED iPad Pro has long been rumored to be in the works at Apple. The production of OLED panels for the upcoming iPad Pros has begun, according to a new report from South Korea. These OLED displays will be manufactured by Samsung Display and LG Display, so here is everything you need to know.
A report from TheElec shared the news. According to our previous report, LG Display will begin producing OLED iPad Pro displays in February 2024. LG is reportedly already manufacturing OLED displays for the next-generation Apple iPad Pro, according to a report from Korea. It is reportedly producing 13-inch displays, while 11-inch OLED panels will be produced soon as well.
Two new iPad Air models and two new OLED iPad Pro models are being developed by the Cupertino company in the second quarter of this year. Samsung Display is also expected to start OLED production for these iPad Pros later this week, so LG isn’t the only supplier of OLED panels. LG Display will manufacture 13-inch OLED panels, whereas Samsung Display will focus on 11-inch panels.
Pricing for these iPads and other finer details are still unknown. As far as we know, the new iPad Pros will likely have Apple’s M3 processor. It might result in a slight price hike over its predecessor.
