In October last year, Apple was rumored to be working on a 12.9-inch iPad Air. With a 12.9-inch screen, it would be the biggest iPad Air ever. Apple’s tablet lineup only includes a 12.9-inch iPad Pro. 91mobiles has exclusively obtained renders of the iPad Air 12.9-inch model, proving this rumor to be true.

Raw CAD renders of the iPad Air 12.9-inch model have been shared by industry sources. Using the renders, we can get an idea of how the iPad Air might look. The design is very similar to that of the current iPad Air model, with a slim body and all-screen display.

As with the previous iPad Air model, the 12.9-inch iPad Air will feature a Touch ID button on the top. Additionally, there are grilles on the top and bottom of the speakers. On this iPad Air model, the side switch is also visible, and the USB-C port is at the bottom.

With the iPad Air, we can now see a border around the lens and LED flash on the rear camera. On the other hand, there is a naked camera sensor on the back of the iPad Air. The iPad Pro 12.9-inch model does not appear to be getting a major design refresh based on these renders. It’s understandable since the iPad Air already has an all-screen display, a Touch ID button, and flat edges.
