In 2024, Apple is expected to announce its next iPhone SE model. According to a report from last month, the iPhone SE 4 (or the iPhone SE 2024) will be similar to the iPhone 14. Apparently, the iPhone SE 4 will pack the same battery as the iPhone 14. As a result, the 2024 variant will have a significantly longer battery life than last year’s iPhone SE (2022).
According to a report by Macrumors, iPhone SE 4 prototypes fitted with the A2863 battery are partially assembled. The iPhone 14 was powered by the same battery previously used by Apple.
As a reminder, the iPhone SE 3 (or iPhone SE 2022) is powered by a 2018mAh battery. According to the new leak, the iPhone SE 4 may come with a larger 3279mAh battery. The leaked information is based on the iPhone SE 4’s prototype units and is subject to change since it is still in development.
Apple may not be able to develop new components for the iPhone SE. Thus, it appears the company prefers to use existing components for the fourth-generation iPhone SE. It makes sense since the iPhone SE 2 has the same 1821mAh battery as the iPhone 8.
According to reports, the iPhone SE (2024) will feature a USB-C port and an Action button. Moreover, it is expected to feature a 6.1-inch OLED display with a notch for the TrueDepth camera, which means it will support Face ID. The rear camera will be 48 megapixels. The device measures 138.4 x 67.3 x 7.3mm and weighs 144 grams.
