Earlier this week, Realme launched its flagship Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone and its entry-level 5G smartphone Realme V50. Realme recently unveiled its first 5G phone, the C67, in India. During the remaining 15 days of the year 2023, it appears that the company will not be launching any new smartphones. In the Chinese market, it is expected to launch the Realme 12 series and the Realme GT Neo 6 in 2024.
Realme GT 5 Pro features the company’s first periscope telephoto camera. The camera features a Sony IMX890 periscope zoom unit that supports 3x optical zoom. Other flagship phones, such as the OnePlus 12 and iQOO 12, feature a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a 3x optical zoom.
Recent reports claim Realme will incorporate the flagship-level OV64B periscope zoom unit into its upcoming Realme 12 Pro series of smartphones. Digital Chat Station has once again confirmed that mid-range camera-focused smartphones will launch soon. Reports indicate that the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ have model numbers RMX3842 and RMX3840, respectively.
According to DCS, Realme is also working on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Realme GT Neo 6. He said the GT Neo 6 would debut in China after Chinese New Year, which indicates it might debut in late February. The next-generation Neo-series flagship, however, was not further discussed.
