The launch date for the OnePlus 12R has been announced by OnePlus. According to the official poster released by the brand, it will launch alongside the OnePlus 12 on Jan. 23. The OnePlus Ace 3 is expected to launch in China on January 4 as the OnePlus 12R, a rebranded version of it.
It has been confirmed by OnePlus that the OnePlus 12R will be available in two shades: Iron Gray and Cool Blue. On its left edge, the device features an alert slider. With the alert slider repositioned, the phone can feature a new antenna system for better performance during online gaming.
It will be available in markets such as North America, Europe, and India. In the past, OnePlus phones with “R” branding were available only in India. There is also a Sand Gold variant of the Ace 3 heading to China. The global market will not be able to purchase this color variant. OnePlus has not yet confirmed the specifications of the OnePlus 12R.
OnePlus Ace 3/OnePlus 12R:
The new OnePlus 12R aka Ace 3 will sport a massive 6.78 inches 1.5K(2772×1240p) BOE X1 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top. It comes with 4500nits peak brightness, 1600nits peak full-screen brightness, DisplayMate A+ rating, & Dolby vision support. OnePlus Ace 3 will feature a metal mid-frame chassis.
The device comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB/16GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage.
It comes with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. On the back, the OnePlus 12R will ship with triple-rear cameras with a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, 8MP 119° ultra-wide-angle lens, and 2MP macro sensor and LED flash. There is the same 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.5 aperture.
The OnePlus Ace 3 packs a massive 5500 mAh battery with 100W fast charging. It runs on Android 14 with OxygenOS 14.0 on top. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, 5G Dual Mode (SA/NSA) support, in-display fingerprint scanner, Wifi 6e, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB Type-C port and 1216 Linear Speaker, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio certification.
