Both the OnePlus 12 and 12R are expected to launch soon. Yet, a new leak has hinted at some of the camera specifications before its official announcement. OnePlus 12R reportedly will have a macro camera as its third sensor, according to a tipster.

On 23rd January 2023, OnePlus will unveil the new OnePlus 12 and 12R globally. On the same date, the brand will launch both devices in the Indian market, and now, tipster Max Jambor has revealed some details about the 12R’s camera. OnePlus 12R to come with 2-megapixel macro sensor, he claimed in a tweet.

The company was expected to launch this device with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 32-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. This OnePlus 12R version, however, appears to be just an early prototype. The company could therefore skip the telephoto shooter altogether.
