According to the BIS certification site, the Nothing Phone (2a) might be launched soon. There is no word yet on how much the device will cost, but it is expected to be a more affordable version of the Nothing Phone 2.
According to the BIS certification site, the model number of the device is A142. It differs from the AIN142 model number that was leaked earlier this week. There is a possibility, however, that the two model numbers represent different regional variants of the same device.
Moreover, the BIS certification reveals that the Nothing Phone (2a) battery will be different from the Nothing Phone (2) battery. Battery model number NT03.
According to rumors, the Nothing Phone (2a) will retain its signature Glyph Interface on its back panel. It is also expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a center-aligned selfie camera. There is speculation that the display might not be LTPO like the one on the Nothing Phone (2).
Nothing Phone (2a) will probably be powered by a mid-range Snapdragon or MediaTek Dimensity processor, given its positioning as a more affordable alternative. Currently, there is no information on the phone’s battery capacity or price.
The launch date of Nothing Phone (2a) is still unclear. It has been spotted on the BIS certification site, however, so its launch could be imminent.
