Since its supposed launch date is set for MWC 2024, Nothing’s upcoming mid-ranger, the Nothing Phone (2a), has been the subject of numerous leaks. The current report confirms multiple rumors that the Phone (2a) will debut at MWC 2024.
Using tipster Kamila once again, we have gathered some exclusive specs for Nothing Phone (2a). There is a dual camera setup on the Nothing Phone 2a, possibly arranged horizontally. It has a 50MP Samsung S5KGN9 camera with a 1/1.5″ sensor size and 1.0micron pixels. We previously saw this snapper on the Moto G84.The secondary 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 ultrawide camera has a 1/2.76″ sensor size and 0.64micron pixels.
We also get a 32MP Sony IMX615 front camera (the same as the OnePlus 10) housed in a tiny punch-hole. Earlier reports suggested a 16MP front camera, but the tipster believes it is likely a binned 16MP cam or a placeholder.
It’s been a while since we heard about Nothing Phone (2a), although a sketch showing its rear display surfaced a few days ago. The MediaTek Dimensity 7200-driven phone is likely to have a 120Hz AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1084×2412. According to tipster Kamila, the panel manufactured by China’s Visionox and BOE has a model number rm692h5. The Nothing Phone (2a) was previously rumored to have a 6.7″ display.
Launch Timeline:
On February 27, Nothing Phone (2a) will make its official debut at the “Nothing to See” event at MWC 2024 in Barcelona. Nothing Phone (3) might make a splash, although the first one is certain.
In terms of availability, the report indicates a wider reach than the Nothing Phone (2). A total of four variants will be available – for India, Europe, Japan, and global markets. There will be black and white on the menu, but one of the paint jobs may come out later.
