Vivo will announce its S18 series of smartphones at 2 pm on Dec. 14 in China. There will be three models in the lineup: the Vivo S18e, S18, and S18 Pro. Vivo will also announce the TWS 3e TWS earbuds alongside the S18 series.
Vivo S18e:
In the Vivo S18 series, the S18e will be the starting model, with a flat display and a round camera module with OIS capabilities and an Aura LED flash. It will have a 4,800mAh battery and support 80W charging, as shown in the above image. The device has a thickness of 7.69mm and is confirmed to come in Cloud Gauze White, Glow Purple, and Starry Night Black.
Vivo S18 & Vivo S18 Pro:
The Vivo S18 is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip according to Vivo’s President and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy, Jia Jingdong. Meanwhile, the S18 Pro is equipped with Dimensity 9200 Plus, which is more powerful. It was also revealed that both phones will be available in hues such as Huaxia Red, Black, Purple, and Sea Green.
As compared to the S18e, the Vivo S18 and S18 Pro look different. Both the standard and Pro variants have curved OLED displays that support 120Hz refresh rates. It is also expected that both devices will support 80W charging.
Vivo S18 Pro:
The new Vivo S18 Pro will sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED curved display with 120Hz refresh rates. The Vivo S18 Pro with Dimensity 9200+ SoC coupled with 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage space.
Vivo S18 Pro features a 50MP main IMX920 sensor with an OIS coupled with a 50MP ISOCELL JN1 ultra-wide sensor. There is a 12MP IMX663 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom having an aperture of f/1.98. On the front, it features a massive 50MP selfie shooter.
According to Vivo, the S18 series is equipped with Vivo’s Blue Heart AI model, which can enhance portrait photography.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 5G, 4G LTE, and VoLTE support, Wifi 6, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and USB Type-C port.
It packs a 5000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. The device runs on Android 14 with OriginOS 4.0 on top. It measures 7.4mm thick and weighs 188g. The device also gets NFC and in-display fingerprint support.
