One of the most popular series out there, the M series, is set to be expanded by the South Korean conglomerate. MySmartPrice has discovered the Galaxy M55 5G on the Geekbench 4 database with the model number SM-M556B.
In the near future, Samsung will launch a Galaxy M55 smartphone equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. According to Geekbench, the SM-M556B was benchmarked. As well as 8 GB RAM, the device appeared to have One UI 6 on top of Android 14.
Geekbench 4.2 was used to test the smartphone, which is so old that our test database does not contain any relevant results. In other words, we have no idea how the 3,575 single-core scores and 11,330 multi-core scores would stack up against other smartphones.
It is fortunately possible to make another comparison of this raw CPU performance. Exynos 1380 was used in the Galaxy M54’s predecessor, while Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is used in the Honor 90 and Xiaomi 13 Lite. The Galaxy M55’s battery life might improve if it switches to a Qualcomm SoC, but performance won’t improve much.
The simulated benchmarks are only a snapshot of the entire landscape. Until Samsung launches the Galaxy M55, we won’t know how it compares to its competitors.
