Samsung’s 2024 flagships will feature another customized version of the Snapdragon top chip, according to Ice Universe. Therefore, the Galaxy S24 series as well as the Flip6 and Fold6 will be powered by an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
According to the tipster, the chipset will feature an Adreno 750 GPU running at 1,000 MHz. In comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 inside the Galaxy S23 series had an Adreno 740 that peaked at 719 MHz. The clock speed has increased by 28%.
We do not yet know whether Qualcomm will boost the GPU clock speed on the Galaxy-exclusive Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, or whether it will boost the CPU.
Several Galaxy S24 variants will get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC while others will get the Exynos 2400. The Snapdragon will power the Galaxy S24 Ultra everywhere and the other two phones in some markets, while the Exynos 2400 will power the S24 and S24+ in Europe and South Korea.
