As part of the One UI 6 update, Samsung has released a device protection tool called Auto Blocker. With the opt-in feature, you can protect your Galaxy device from a variety of security risks.
By enabling Auto Blocker, you can prevent sideloading – the installation of an app from an unauthorized source – on your device. Apps from unauthorized stores will also be blocked by Auto Blocker. These features must be enabled specifically.
In addition to preventing harmful commands, Auto Blocker will also enforce app security checks. Additionally, it protects you from harmful USB installs – particularly if you’re using a public USB cable.
This update to Auto Blocker brings an update to Message Guard, the service that mitigates Zero Click attacks and malicious image messages.
The Auto Blocker is part of One UI – just search for it in Settings.
