OnePlus China president Li Jie teases the upcoming OnePlus 12’s camera system to be one of the best on the market. To achieve the goal of being the best, the phone must have top-notch hardware and software solutions, and the device has been designed accordingly. According to reports, the Oppo Find series’ imaging team has worked on the OnePlus 12’s hardware and software.
According to the device’s description, it offers a “super light and shadow imaging system” with a triple camera setup. To maintain its previous achievements, OnePlus continued its partnership with Hasselblad. Li Jie believes the device’s camera is strong enough to compete with its Pro-level flagship competitors.
A triple rear-camera setup on the OnePlus 12 will include a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary sensor, a 64MP Omnivision O64B periscope telephoto camera, and a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide sensor.
There is an aperture of f/1.6 on the primary camera, and a focal length of 23mm on the ultrawide lens, while the aperture on the primary camera is f/2.2. On the other hand, the telephoto camera has an aperture of f/2.6 and a focal length of 70mm, enabling 3x optical zoom.
OnePlus has also confirmed the OnePlus 12 will have the same 13-channel multi-spectral sensor as its predecessor. Hasselblad’s color calibration expertise will be used in conjunction with this sensor to capture natural colors in photos.
OnePlus Open’s camera specifications are largely similar to these. For enhanced image processing, the OnePlus 12’s cameras will also benefit from Oppo’s HDR and portrait technologies.
