The latest generation flagship Pixel 8 series was unveiled by Google recently. It is expected that Google will announce affordable mid-range Pixel 8 models to continue with its tradition. At the company’s annual I/O Developer conference next year, the Pixel 8a is expected to replace the Pixel 7a. We now have a look at the Pixel 8a in leaked renders months before its launch.
In comparison to its elder Pixel 8 duo, the Pixel 8a has rounded corners on all sides. The upcoming phone is also smaller than the Pixel 7a and has a taller aspect ratio. There are two camera sensors housed in a pill-shaped cutout on the back panel. It comes in a Peach color option with a slim profile.
The Pixel 8a has a punch-hole cutout in the center of its front panel. It is also noticeable that the bottom chin is thick. According to reports, the screen will measure 6.1 inches.
The Pixel 8a measures 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9mm in terms of dimensions. There is a volume rocker and power button on the right side of the smartphone, and a SIM tray is on the left edge. In addition to a USB-C port, there are stereo speakers on the bottom of the device. The phone also has an earpiece and an ultrawide-band antenna on its top.
Google’s codenamed ‘Akita’ phone appeared on the benchmarking website Geekbench earlier this year. It was expected to be the Pixel 8a. According to the listing, the phone is powered by the Tensor G3 SoC with 8GB RAM and Android 14 OS.
