With the Galaxy S24 series, Exynos chipsets will return in 2024. In spite of the fact that not all regions will have to deal with the new chip, it will still be available to a significant number of people. Previously, it was reported that the Exynos 2400 chipset with a new Xclipse 940 GPU will power the S24 models.

In some regions, Samsung’s Exynos 2400 SoC, expected to power the future Galaxy S24 series, has been revealed by a tipster on X.

In Powerboard 4.0, the leakster posted two screenshots of the Exynos 2400 chip against Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The SD8 Gen 2’s Adreno 740 scored slightly lower than the Xclipse 940 GPU (co-developed with AMD). The Xclipse 940 scored 1,656 points at 1080p resolution, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s Adreno 740 averaged 1,561 points.

However, there are a few things to keep in mind. Exynos 2400 and Galaxy S24, for example, are unreleased products, so their actual performance at launch will likely be higher. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, due to arrive at the end of the month, would be a better comparison. There is a possibility that the gap may widen.

Additionally, the second screenshot confirms the 10 GPU cores rumored earlier this summer, which is two more than the Adreno 740.

As we get closer to the Galaxy S24’s announcement, more information will likely emerge.
