The Galaxy S24 series will be launched by Samsung early next year. In addition to the Galaxy S24, the Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra are part of the Galaxy S24 lineup. A new leak has revealed key specifications of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+.

The Seoul Economic Daily reports that Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy S24 series earlier than usual. Samsung plans to hold a Galaxy Unpacked launch event for the Galaxy S24 in San Francisco, USA, in January 2024, according to the report.

According to tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra will launch one month earlier than the Galaxy S23 series.

Samsung’s Unpacked event took place on February 1st, and the Galaxy S23 line was released on February 18, 2023. The Galaxy S24 series, however, is expected to be released around January 18th, according to Ice Universe.

Samsung’s earlier launch is reportedly designed to compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered Android handsets expected to be released at the end of this year.

Galaxy S24 & Galaxy S24+ to ship with new Exynos 2400 SoC:

Samsung plans to equip the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ with a new Exynos 2400 SoC. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is rumored to be launched in every region with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Exynos 2024 chipset will feature a deca core configuration. In other words, it has 10 cores.

There will be one Cortex X4 Prime CPU core clocking in at 3.19GHz on the chipset, which will have a 1+3+2+4 structure. It features five Cortex A720 cores, two of which have a clock speed of 2.9GHz while the other three have a clock speed of 2.6GHz. Last but not least, there are four Cortex A520 efficiency cores clocked at 1.95GHz. As part of the chipset, Samsung will also include the XClipse 940 and the Exynos 5300, which is an integrated modem capable of up to 10GB/s downlink speed.
