OnePlus Open is finally launching! An exclusive interview with The Verge revealed the launch date of the company’s first foldable phone following months of leaks and rumors. OnePlus Open will indeed debut later this month, more specifically next week. On October 19th, OPPO, OnePlus’ sister company, will unveil its Find N3 series foldables.
The OnePlus Open will be announced on October 19th, according to OnePlus President Kinder Liu. It will take place in Mumbai at 7:30 pm IST (4 pm CEST and 10 am EDT). A OnePlus executive stated that the company has spent two years researching and developing prototypes, but the launch has been delayed due to technical challenges.
As a result, the OnePlus Open and OPPO Find N3 will debut on the same day at 14:30 GMT in Singapore. OPPO’s book-style Find N foldables are only available in the Chinese market.
We can also see the OnePlus Open in the image shared by the publication. There is a three-stage alert slider as well as a boxy form factor. The foldable phone appears to come in a Green color option based on its frame. OnePlus also wants to deliver a flagship foldable experience that doesn’t compromise on anything in the interview with Liu.
