Carl Pei’s tech startup Nothing teased a new product on Twitter and Instagram on April 1, 2022. Nothing’s logo and the text “Beer (5.1%)” appeared on the teaser image. Nothing insisted that the teaser wasn’t an April Fool’s joke, even though many people assumed it was.
Following that, Nothing released additional information about the Nothing Beer, describing it as an unfiltered rice lager with a hint of pear. Having an ABV of 5.1%, it is brewed by Freetime Beer Company, a microbrewery in Swansea, Wales. Nothing surprised the tech community by launching its Beer earlier today in the UK, despite what appeared to be a joke at the time.
The Nothing Beer is now available on Nothing’s website and in its Soho, London store. Six-packs of the beer cost £20 (about $24).
Crisp, unfiltered rice lager is the best way to describe the Beer (5.1%). A subtle malt profile is perfectly balanced with Kazbek hops, making it a technically refreshing beverage.
As of now, the beer (5.1%) is only available in the UK; however, Nothing plans to expand its distribution in the near future. For updates on the availability of Beer (5.1%) in your area, visit the brand’s website and sign up to receive notifications.
