There are rumors that Apple will launch new iPad models in the near future. This week, Apple is expected to release brand-new iPads, iPad Airs, and iPad Minis. Here are all the details.
The news comes from a 9To5Mac report. According to sources close to the matter, Apple plans to release its new iPad, iPad Air, and iPad Mini tomorrow (17th October 2023). It must be noted, however, that this report differs from that of known analyst Mark Gurman, who believes that Apple will most likely announce new tablets by the end of the year.
According to the latest report, the company will launch the new iPads soon. In general, Apple unveils a new tablet a month after the launch of a new iPhone. Therefore, we can expect new iPads in the near future. However, no official announcements have yet been made. In addition to an upgraded chipset, the new iPads will feature updated specifications. Apple launched the last iPad Air with the M1 chipset, while the iPad Mini and base iPad feature the A15 Bionic and A14 Bionic processors, respectively.
Therefore, the iPad Air may get the updated M2 chipset, while the iPad Mini and base iPad may get the A16 Bionic SoC. We also covered how the iPad Mini 7 won’t have a 120Hz ProMotion display in a recent report. A new controller could also be installed on the screen to address the jelly scrolling issue on the current generation iPad Mini.
Apple Pencil 3:
There was a report last week that suggested Apple would unveil new iPads tomorrow – October 17 – but it now appears the Pencil 3 will be revealed instead.
Japanese MacOTAKARA reports that Apple Pencil 3 will feature magnetic interchangeable pen tips for drawing and painting, backing earlier information by Majin Bu.
