We occasionally see leaks of Vivo’s impressive telephoto cameras behind the scenes. According to Digital Chat Station, the latest leak details the periscope module of the upcoming vivo X100 Pro.
According to reports, the Pro model will feature a 100mm periscope lens with a wide f/2.5 aperture for low-light shooting. It will also feature the OmniVision OV64B, a 1/2″ 64MP 1/2″ sensor with 0.7m native pixels and support for 4-in-1 binning.
Vivo is also collaborating with Zeiss on the X100 Pro and will use Vario-Apo-Sonnar lenses. A customized Sony 53MP 1/1.43″ sensor will be used as the main sensor.
The vivo X100 series is expected to include three models: the vivo X100, X100 Pro, and X100 Pro+. The Dimensity 9300 chipset will be used in the global X100, according to leaks.
There will also be a Pro+ model, which will have superior camera hardware – the 200MP telecamera, a 1″ IMX989 in the main camera, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with a V3 ISP chip.
In the meantime, iQOO is developing a telecamera similar to the X100 Pro. In addition to its 5x periscope, the iQOO 12 Pro will also include a 50MP OV50H sensor (1/1.28″, 1.2m pixels). The regular iQOO 12 should have the same main sensor, but will likely skip the periscope. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be used in both devices.
