In addition to the Galaxy Tab S9 series of tablets, Samsung is gearing up to launch the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9, a new budget tablet under the Galaxy A series.
The Galaxy Tab A9 has been spotted on the BIS certification website, indicating that it will soon launch in the Indian market ahead of its official launch. The tablet’s chipset has also been leaked online.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, according to a new report. The performance appears to be much better than the MediaTek MT8768 powering the Galaxy A7 tablet.
According to MediaTek, the Helio G99 SoC is built on a 6nm TSMC process, enabling great gaming all day, large cameras, fast displays, smooth streaming, and reliable global connectivity. There are two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, along with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
SM-X115 is the model number listed on the BIS Certification listing for the Galaxy Tab A9, which will support 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and FM. There is a 5,100mAh battery powering the device, and fast charging is supported at 15W.
