On September 21, Xiaomi will launch its Redmi Buds 5 earbuds alongside its Redmi Note 13 series smartphones in China. Xiaomi announced the earbuds via its Weibo account, along with a teaser poster.

The Redmi Buds 5 looks different from its predecessor, the Redmi Buds 4. Unlike the Buds 4, which has an oval case and canal-style earbuds, the Buds 5 has a rectangular case and stemmed earbuds.

It also says the earbuds will have 46dB active noise reduction and come in three colors: Purple, Black, and White. The earbuds will also have a 2kHz noise reduction range and dual-microphone AI call noise reduction.

Redmi Buds 4 feature 35dB active noise reduction with 3 levels. Also, there’s a dual-mic setup with AI call noise reduction.

One Redmi Buds 4 charge lasts 30 hours, with each earbud lasting 6 hours. Fast charging gives you 1 hour of listening time after 5 minutes. Probably the upcoming Redmi Buds 5 will have all of these features, plus better active noise cancellation.
