Qualcomm has now announced another new variant of the Snapdragon 7 series chipset today with the new Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. From now onward there will be three different versions of the Snapdragon 7 series which include Snapdragon 7, Snapdragon 7s & Snapdragon 7+.

The new chipset is based on TSMC’s 4nm process technology. The processor has four Cortex A78 performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz and four Cortex A55 efficiency cores clocked at 1.95GHz. It is possible to achieve smooth and efficient interactions with these CPU configurations. With its integrated Adreno 710 GPU and Snapdragon X62 modem-RF system, it is capable of providing 5G service. Besides WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 is also supported.

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 also supports a FHD+ display that supports 4k videos at 30fps, 10-bit color depth, 144Hz refresh rate, HLG, HDR10, and HDR vivid. With 12-bit triple ISPs, it supports a 200MP sensor and HDR video camera. Snapdragon Elite gaming features include Snapdragon sound and Qualcomm aptX for lossless music streaming. Furthermore, it supports LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. A FastConnect 6700 mobile connectivity system is included. In addition to sharper network renders and clearer photos, AI De-Noising (AIDE) improves the quality of the pictures. Quick Charge 4+ technology is included.
