Redmi announced the Note 12 series in China in October 2022. As a result, initial reports predicted that the Note 13 series would be unveiled in the same month as the Note 12 series. Redmi Note 13 series models appeared in TENAA’s database earlier this month, prompting rumors that they may debut in China this month.
The brand confirmed earlier this week that the Note 13 series would be announced in September. Three Note 13 models will be unveiled on Sept. 21 in China at 7 pm (local time).
Specs:
There are two models shown in the poster above: the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G on the left and the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G on the right. Unlike the Pro model, the Pro+ edition has a curved-edge screen. There is an in-screen fingerprint scanner integrated into both devices’ AMOLED displays.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will also be the first Redmi Note series phone with a curved screen, ultra-thin four narrow sides, and a small 2.37mm chin. It will be protected by Corning Gorilla Victus.
It has now been confirmed that both Note 13 Pro and 13 Pro Plus devices will feature a second-generation 1.5K high-gloss eye protection display when they are announced in September.
In addition to 1900 nits of peak brightness, the new screen supports 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and high-brightness DC dimming.
Its ability to reduce eye strain and fatigue is also confirmed by the Redmi Note 13 Pro’s triple TUV Rheinland eye protection certification.
While the Note 13 Pro+ has a leather back with protruding camera rings, the Note 13 Pro appears to have a glass back with a raised camera island. There is a 200-megapixel primary camera on both models. Among the two devices, only the Pro+ appears to offer optical image stabilization.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will be the first phone to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200-Ultra SoC.
