Several days after confirming the Pixel hardware event for October 4th, Google posted the official teaser for the Pixel 8 series, showing the phone’s design for the first time.
Google also confirmed that the Pixel 8 series will launch in India on the same date as the US & will go on pre-orders from Oct 5. It will be exclusive to Flipkart.
Pixel 8 Series:
The Pixel 8 will have a dual-camera setup on the back. In contrast, the Pixel 8 Pro has a triple rear camera setup. The cameras on both phones have a visor-like design. The camera module bar extends to the edges and blends into the frame.
The Pixel 8 Pro’s camera cutout is also wider than its predecessor. As opposed to the predecessor, which came with a separate circular cutout for the third sensor, all three sensors are contained inside a single pill-shaped cutout. Besides the camera sensors, another sensor can also be seen below the LED flash.
On the front, the phones feature a hole-punch cutout. While the Pixel 8 will continue to have a flat display, the Pixel 8 Pro will have a curved screen.
