So far, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra leaks indicate a camera upgrade, a design change, faster charging, etc. A bit of a surprise, however, is the latest report. Ice Universe reports that the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra will have a flat display instead of a curved one.
With the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge in 2014, Samsung was the first company to introduce a curved screen design, followed by the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9. Since then, the company has switched the lower members of its flagship lineup to flat panels, and it may now switch the most premium one as well.
According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be 79mm wide, which can only be explained by a flat screen. Due to its curved edges, the Galaxy S23 Ultra has a 78.1mm width and it’s highly unlikely that the bezels will grow.
It’s still too early to take anything for granted. In this case, Samsung could simply go with a larger screen to explain the discrepancy.
