According to reports, Redmi is planning to launch the Redmi K70e, Redmi K70, and Redmi K70 Pro by the end of this year. The devices are said to be equipped with the Dimensity 8300, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets. Digital Chat Station (via TechGoing) revealed a few new details about the K70 in a recent Weibo post.
DCS’ Weibo post indicates the Redmi K70 Pro will be almost a premium device with a metallic middle frame, promising better durability than its predecessor. Also, the leak suggests that the Redmi K70 Pro will sport a telephoto camera for the first time. The telephoto snapper appears to support 3x optical zoom.
According to reports, the 23117RK66C, 2311DRK48C, and 23113RKC6C model names refer to the Redmi K70e, K70, and K70 Pro, respectively.
According to the Geekbench database, the Redmi K70 Pro has the model number 23113RKC6C. In June, two more K70-series devices were also spotted on the IMEI database with this model number.
The benchmarking platform mentions the motherboard codenamed Corot on the K70 Pro, with four cores clocked at 2GHz, three cores at 3GHz, and one primary core ticking at 3.35GHz. It’s the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+. Geekbench shows 16GB of RAM. Out of the box, it’ll run Android 13.
According to Kacper Skrzypek, the listing has a minor issue. Geekbench labels the 23113RKC6C Redmi phone as “Corot,” a designation already associated with the Redmi K60 Ultra (23078RKD5C). According to the tipster, the device’s model is likely faked since the ROM shows no indication of a newer version.
