In the coming months, Google is expected to launch the Google Pixel Watch 2 alongside the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones. MySmartPrice recently spotted the upcoming Google Pixel Watch 2 on the Google Play Console and in the list of Google Play-supported devices.
According to the Google Play Supported device listing, the smartwatch is called the Google Pixel Watch 2. The listing also discloses that the smartwatch is codenamed “eos”. Google Play Console, however, shows a render of the smartwatch. In the render, a circular dial with a physical button is visible on the right side of the Pixel Watch 2, just like on the first-generation Pixel Watch.
According to the listing, the Pixel Watch 2 will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 (SW5100) chipset paired with 2GB of RAM. Google Play Console also confirms that the Pixel Watch 2 will have a resolution of 383 x 384 pixels. In terms of software, Wear OS 4.0 will run on top of Android 13 out of the box.
Additionally, the Google wearable is expected to be powered by a 306mAh battery. Considering that it has already received BIS certification, the Pixel Watch 2 is expected to debut in India as well. According to a previous leak, the smartwatch will feature four new watch faces: Accessible, Arc, Analog Bold, and Bold Digital.
