Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing, announced last week that the company would launch a new sub-brand called “CMF by Nothing”. It will begin with two products – a smartwatch and a pair of earbuds – focusing on affordable prices and “timeless designs.”

Those two products have already been registered with the Bureau of Indian Standards – D395 (smartwatch) and B163 (wireless headphones). As a result, India will be among the first countries to welcome the new sub-brand.

Since its very first product, coincidentally a pair of TWS buds, Nothing has been present in the country. As we haven’t heard anything about a Nothing watch, this also means that CMF will be the first in the family to bring a smartwatch.

We don’t know what operating system this watch uses – Wear OS or one of the more restricted platforms. When the products are certified and listed by various agencies, we will be able to learn more.

According to the FCC, the manufacturer listed for the smartwatch has built a large number of headphones (marketed under the JVC, HMDX, EMTEC, Blackweb, and other names). Unfortunately, we were unable to locate any smartwatches during our search.

Among the manufacturers listed for the headphones, one has previously built headsets for Monster Inspiration and iSport Spirit as well as Cambridge Soundworks with Oontz BudZ.
