Xiaomi 14 is expected to retain its overall design, but bring a number of upgrades. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 according to a post on Leakster Digital Chat Station.
Additionally, this generation is expected to feature up to 1TB of storage (the 13 topped out at 512GB). Considering the previous post, the vanilla Xiaomi 14 will come with a 4,860mAh battery and 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The phone’s schematics show a familiar design with a squarish camera island in the top left corner. Instead of three sensors, it will be divided into four.
DCS says the main camera will get a bigger sensor – 50MP 1/1.28″. A “medium-telephoto” camera is also coming, presumably with a standard lens (its optical magnification might be higher than the 3.2x of the 13 models, though). No hint has been given as to what the fourth sensor is (the third is the ultra-wide camera, of course).
The Xiaomi 14 is expected to be an incremental upgrade over the Mi 13, with minimal cosmetic changes. Improvements will be made primarily to the processor and camera. The Xiaomi 14 is expected to follow a similar pricing strategy as its predecessor, the Mi 13. The newly introduced 1TB storage variant may attract attention, however.
