In India, POCO will launch a new mid-range smartphone. POCO’s India Head teased new models coming soon, including the POCO M6 Pro 5G.
In a tweet, POCO India Head Himanshu Tandon stated that the company is done with the 5 series and is moving on to the 6 series. The senior official did not reveal the name of the upcoming device, but it appears to be the new M6 Pro. There has been a new POCO smartphone model spotted on the IMEI database with model number 23076PC4BI, which may be the M6 Pro.
We also reported earlier this month that Xiaomi would launch the Redmi Note 12R in the global market soon. This device will be released globally and in India as the Redmi 12 5G. According to Kacper Skrzypek, the smartphone will also arrive in India as the POCO M6 Pro.
Design:
The Redmi Note 12R shares the same design as its siblings. Its camera module is similar to that of the Poco F5, but it may not be as polished. According to the China Telecom listing, the device has a punch-hole cutout on the front and thick bezels. With a side-facing fingerprint scanner, the handset sports a dual-camera setup at the rear.
There are three color options available for the smartphone: Midnight Black, Time Blue, and Sky Fantasy.
Specs:
POCO M6 Pro features a 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate.
POCO M6 Pro will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. This may be one of the first phones with this processor.
Based on Android 13, it runs MIUI 14. On the rear, it features a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it has a 5MP camera on the front.
It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Among its connectivity options are dual SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GLONASS, A-GPS, and USB Type-C.
Additionally, the device features a 5,000mAh battery and support for 22.5W fast charging.
