After almost a year-long wait Nothing has now announced the successor to Nothing Phone (1) with the new Nothing Phone (2). As expected this time the device will likely be called budget flagship as it comes with a premium chipset.
Design:
There is a slight curve to the aluminum sides of the new design, even the glass panels on the front and back. Compared to the Phone (1), which has squared-off sides and a flat front and back, the Phone (2) has rounded corners.
Glyph’s light strips are now segmented. Users could have more fine-grain control over the system, which serves as a notification light, status indicator, and something to add some coolness. The Nothing Phone (2) will stick to a dual-camera setup, as major tweaks are unlikely. There are now two LEDs instead of just one in the flash, but that’s the only change.
Specs:
The new Nothing Phone (2) will sport a 6.7 inches FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glas protection both front as well as back. The Nothing Phone (2) is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage.
The new Nothing Phone (2) will feature a 50MP Sony IMX890 (f/1.8) main sensor along with a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide sensor with LED flash. There is a 32MP selfie shooter under the punch-hole notch. It packs a 4700 mAh battery with 33W fast charge support. It also comes with 15W wireless charging support & 5W reverse charging feature.
The Nothing Phone (2) will run on Android 13 OS with Nothing OS 2.0 on top.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 5G, Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, Dual Band Wifi, A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C port, FM Radio, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Pricing:
The new Nothing Phone (2) with 8GB+128GB will cost Rs.44,999/-, 12GB+256GB at Rs.49,999/- & 12GB+512GB at Rs.54,999/- in India. Currently on pre-orders and will go on sale from July 21 via Flipkart. Flat Rs.3000/- off for Axis/HDFC Bank Credit card users.
