According to reports, Apple is all set to release devices powered by the new Apple M3 chip in the coming months, which is the company’s next-generation Apple Silicon chip.
In his latest Power On newsletter for Bloomberg, Mark Gurman reports that Apple could introduce new Mac devices powered by the M3 chip in October.
Using the M3 processor, Apple may launch the new iMac, 13-inch MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro. Especially after the launch of M2 Ultra-powered devices last month, M3-powered devices may seem too soon. Supply chain issues caused the delay in the M2 lineup if speculations are accurate.
According to rumors, Apple’s Silicon M3 processor will have the same number of cores as its predecessor but will boast increased performance and efficiency due to its new 3-nanometer (3nm) fabrication process.
There is no word yet on whether the company plans to announce the new M3 chip and devices powered by it through a press release or a launch event. It should be known in the next few weeks, whatever the case may be.
