In addition to the first leak of Xiaomi 14 series specs last week, we now have our first look at an early schematic of the base Xiaomi 14. As always, the final design may differ from the illustration provided by tipster Digital Chat Station.

As with its predecessor, Xiaomi 14 offers a flat-screen with slim bezels and a centered punch-hole cutout. Around the back, we see a similar square camera island to the Xiaomi 13 series, but with larger cutouts for the main and telephoto cameras. It is likely that the LED flash and ultrawide camera sensor will be cut-outs as well.

Compared to their predecessors, this leak suggests a major battery and charging upgrade. Xiaomi 13 had a smaller 4,500mAh battery with fast charging at 67W. In addition, recent reports indicate that both the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will have USB-C ports that support USB 3.2.

The Xiaomi 14 series will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It is expected that Qualcomm will unveil this new chip in October, which has led to speculation that the Xiaomi 14 lineup may launch as early as November in China. It was revealed in a previous leak from DCS that the Xiaomi 14 series will continue to use a 1-inch camera sensor, while the 1.33-inch sensor is still under development.
