In China, the OnePlus 12 is expected to be unveiled in December, while in the rest of the world, it will be unveiled in January. OnePlus is expected to release another high-end phone shortly afterward – the OnePlus 12R.
OnLeaks and MySmartPrice have published CAD-based renders and details about the OnePlus 11R sequel. The new model is expected to debut in China in January and seems to be somewhat different from the recently leaked Ace 2 Pro (the 11R was based on the Ace 2).
Design:
In accordance with the leaked design renders shared by OnLeaks with MySmartPrice, the 12R 5G will feature a slightly curved display on the front. There is a hole punched in the center of the display of the 12R 5G for the front camera. There are also relatively thin bezels around the display, including the chin.
OnePlus will follow the same strategy for the 12R 5G’s back design as it did for the 11R 5G. An LED flash module and a triple-camera setup are enclosed within a circular housing, which rests on a module integrated with the camera body.
Right below the power button is the iconic alert slider, which can be found on the 12R 5G. The volume rocker is located on the left edge. At the bottom edge, we can see the USB Type-C port, a microphone cut out, and the speaker grille.
Specs:
The new OnePlus 12R will sport massive 6.74 inches 1.5K(2772×1240p) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also gets Asahi Glass AGC protection on top with HDR10+ support. The device comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It is coupled with 8GB/12GB/16GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage.
It comes with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. On the back, the OnePlus 12R will ship with triple-rear cameras with a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, 8MP 119° ultra-wide-angle lens, and 32MP telephoto sensor with 2z optical zoom and LED flash. There is the same 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.5 aperture.
The OnePlus 12R packs a massive 5500 mAh battery with 100W fast charging. It runs on Android 14 with OxygenOS 14.0 on top. The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with Dual 4G LTE and VoLTE support, 5G Dual Mode (SA/NSA) support, in-display fingerprint scanner, Wifi 6e, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB Type-C port and 1216 Linear Speaker, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio certification.
