The highly anticipated Xiaomi 14 series smartphone will be unveiled in China, according to reports. Reports suggest that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor will power these devices when they launch in November, possibly in October. Additionally, it is reported that the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro will both feature periscope zoom cameras, as well as the previously announced Xiaomi 14 Ultra. With periscope zoom capabilities, users can capture distant subjects with greater precision thanks to enhanced optical zoom capabilities.
Digital Chat Station reports that the Xiaomi 14 Pro’s periscope telephoto camera will offer 5x optical zoom with an impressive 115mm focal length. Its sibling, the Xiaomi 14, will have a periscope telephoto camera with 3.9x optical zoom and a shorter 90mm focal length. Other details about the Xiaomi 14’s cameras were not revealed by the leaker.
It is reported that, like the Xiaomi 13 Pro, its successor will have three 50MP cameras. There is a rumor that it will feature a 50MP primary sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a zoom camera. Xiaomi 14’s camera setup is unknown. Xiaomi 14 Pro’s front-facing camera will record 4K video, promising high-quality selfies and video calls.
The Xiaomi 14 Pro may also feature both flat and curved-edge displays, according to rumors. These models will be powered by sizable batteries, each with a capacity of 5,000mAh. Moreover, charging capabilities will vary between the models, with the Xiaomi 14 supporting 90W charging and the Pro variant possibly offering 120W charging.
Xiaomi 14 model numbers are 23127PN0CC (China) and 23127PN0CG (global). Xiaomi 14 Pro model numbers 23116PN5BC and 23116PN5BG, however, belong to the Xiaomi 14 Pro.
