China Telecom listed the Redmi Note 12R last week, revealing its full specifications. Earlier today, the smartphone went official in the brand’s home country, China.

Design:

The Redmi Note 12R shares the same design as its siblings. Its camera module is similar to that of the Poco F5, but it may not be as polished. According to the China Telecom listing, the device has a punch-hole cutout on the front and thick bezels. With a side-facing fingerprint scanner, the handset sports a dual-camera setup at the rear.

There are three color options available for the smartphone: Midnight Black, Time Blue, and Sky Fantasy.

Specs:

It features a 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Redmi Note 12R will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. This may be one of the first phones with this processor.

Based on Android 13, it runs MIUI 14. On the rear, it features a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it has a 5MP camera on the front.

It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Among its connectivity options are dual SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GLONASS, A-GPS, and USB Type-C.

Additionally, the device features a 5,000mAh battery and support for 22.5W fast charging.

The Redmi Note 12R cost 999 Yuan (Rs.11,500/-) for 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB at 1099 Yuan (Rs.12,700/-), 1499 Yuan (Rs.17,000/-) for 8GB+128GB & 8GB+256GB at 1799 Yuan (Rs.20,600/-) in China.
