Xiaomi has been releasing foldable smartphones in the second half of the year for the past couple of years. In the coming months, enthusiasts will be able to see the company’s next-gen foldable device.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will be the next phone from Xiaomi. Since February, we’ve been herding about it. The specs of this upcoming foldable smartphone were leaked earlier today by a reliable Chinese leaker.
Specs:
Weibo user Digital Chat Station has revealed the specs of an unnamed foldable smartphone. This product features a curved white glass body in its engineering model (prototype).
Based on the features, it sounds more like the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 whose specs have been popping up now and then. The comments of netizens confirm this.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, according to the tipster. There are four cameras on the device. There are two cameras with zoom lenses. For portraits, one of them has a 3.2x zoom lens, while the other has a 5x periscope lens.
A water-drop hinge enhances the drop resistance of the foldable. In addition to being thin and light, it supports 67W and 50W wired charging. MIUI code suggests the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is codenamed ‘Babylon’ with model number 2308CPXD0C. Known as L18, it is scheduled to launch in August.
Previous leaks have indicated the handset will have an 8.02-inch main display and a 6.5-inch cover screen. There will be two FHD+ panels with 120Hz refresh rates and FHD+ resolutions.
It will be equipped with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It could have an under-display camera and be IP-rated. As with previous iterations, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 probably won’t be available worldwide. Leather and glass back variants are expected to be available exclusively in mainland China.
