Recently, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip5 has been leaking like crazy, ahead of its official unveiling in Korea in the last week of July.
A crucial piece of the puzzle has been revealed today: the price. If the number holds true, it represents a significant jump compared to what Flip4 launched last year. It is rumored that the Galaxy Z Flip5 will cost €1,299 (Rs.1,16,500/-) with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
In the Eurozone, the Galaxy Z Flip4’s 8/128GB version launched for €1,099, so we’re talking about an almost 20% increase. While prices may vary slightly across the Eurozone due to different VAT levels, these variations shouldn’t exceed €30-40.
If this information is accurate, the Flip5 will cost more than its predecessor. Since the upcoming model will sport a huge outer screen, the hike may be accepted more readily by consumers. Additionally, there will be no hinge gap, something that competitors have figured out before Samsung.
For now, all of this is just an unconfirmed rumor, so take it with a grain of salt. The next few weeks will likely bring more price leaks, and we’ll see if they confirm this price point.
