Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra features a significant upgrade to the primary camera. There was also an increase in the resolution of the selfie camera. With its next-generation flagship phone, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, don’t expect big camera improvements.
It has been reported (via @UniverseIce) that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will use the same 200MP ISOCELL HP2 camera sensor. Additionally, the 12MP Sony IMX754 sensor will be used for the telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and the 12MP Sony IMX564 sensor for the ultrawide camera. Only the telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom is getting upgraded. Apparently, the company uses a slightly upgraded Sony IMX754+ sensor for the longest optical zoom.
We might only see slight improvements in 10x zoom if this information is right. The Galaxy S24 Ultra’s camera quality can only be improved through software and processing. We don’t know anything about the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ cameras. If the Galaxy S24 Ultra doesn’t improve the camera much, the same might be true for the other two models.
Asia and North America are expected to get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor on the Galaxy S24 series. Phones with Exynos 2400 could be coming to Europe.
