In August 2022, Oppo introduced the Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro in China. Soon, the Watch 3 lineup will be succeeded by its upcoming iteration. The Oppo Watch 4 name will likely be dropped from Oppo’s upcoming flagship smartwatch, according to a recent Weibo post. China and some other Asian nations believe that the number 4 brings bad luck. Oppo Watch 5 appears to be the name of the next iteration.
‘Comet’ is the codename given by the tipster to the Oppo Watch 5, which has a square display and curved edges. Battery capacity will be 570mAh, and eSIM connectivity will be supported. The smartwatch will be available in white and black carbon fiber.
Oppo Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro have 400mAh and 550mAh batteries, respectively. The tipster may be referring to the Oppo Watch 5 Pro rather than the vanilla model.
The Oppo Watch 5 series is expected to go official alongside the Oppo Find N3 foldable phone. Earlier this year, the tipster revealed that the company plans to launch the Find N3 in the third quarter.

OnePlus Fold and OPPO Find N3 phones are also expected to have the same book-style folding design as OPPO Find N2. It’s also rumored that there will be two OnePlus foldable phones in the works, one called the OnePlus Fold and one called the OnePlus V Flip. So far, the company has only teased the foldable and said it’ll launch in Q3.
