There are a lot of memes mocking the iPhone 14 and Galaxy S23 Ultra for looking almost identical to their previous generation models if you follow tech Twitter. A meme shows a guy holding a shirt while wearing the same one. Nothing’s Phone 2 has also been targeted by these memes, but its CEO disagrees. According to him, the smartphone will look different from its predecessor.
Twitter users mocked the upcoming Nothing Phone 2 for looking the same as the Phone 1. CEO Carl Pei responded with a tweet that hinted at a design departure. “To everyone sending me this: just wait and see!” Contrary to recently leaked renders, the Phone 1 still looks pretty much the same.
It’s unclear what new changes Nothing will make to the upcoming smartphone. The company has already teased a similar design for the Phone 2, with just some tweaks to the glyph interface on the back. Until the Phone 2 is officially announced in July, we won’t know what’s in store.
It didn’t deliver on its promises with Phone 1, so expectations are high. The Carl Pei-led startup wants to revolutionize the “boring” smartphone market. It’ll have a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor and a 4,700mAh battery. As well as the display and camera, there might be some improvements.
Further, the popular tipster has now leaked the expected pricing details of the Nothing Phone (2). As per the source, the Nothing Phone (2) will have a BoM cost of around $260 (Rs.21,500/-) to $280 (Rs.23,000/-). In the US the Nothing Phone (2) will cost around $449/$499. Whereas in India the Nothing Phone (2) will cost Rs.40,000/- to Rs.42,000/-
