A new tablet from Realme surfaced on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) earlier this week. As of now, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) has also certified the company’s Pad 2 tablet. Check out some of its notable specifications revealed by this certification.
According to the FCC listing, the Realme Pad 2 has the model number RMP2205, which matches the BIS listing as well. Even though the latest certification sighting doesn’t reveal finer details about this device, it does reveal two key aspects related to its charging and battery. Apparently, the Pad 2 will be powered by an 8,360mAh battery.
The original Realme Pad (Review) was powered by a smaller 7,100mAh battery. Furthermore, the FCC sighting reveals that the upcoming tablet model from the brand will support 33W fast charging as well. Again, this is faster than the predecessor’s 18W fast charging.
The FCC listing indicates that the Redmi Pad 2 will have up to 6GB of RAM. There will be three storage configurations available for the Android tablet, with the base model having 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There is also a 4GB + 128GB variant of the Pad 2 listed by Xiaomi. Last but not least, there will be an option with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is also confirmed that the tablet has Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz).
As a final note, we can even see a glimpse of the new tablet’s design from the certification sighting. Sketches show a circular camera module on the rear. In addition, all four corners of the Pad 2 will be rounded. The certification database only revealed this information, so stay tuned for more updates.
