Amazon has officially launched Prime Lite in India. Customers get special benefits with this cheaper membership. It was first available to select users earlier this year but is now available to everyone.
The Prime Lite membership is Rs 999 for an annual plan. As of now, there are no monthly or quarterly plans. It’s cheaper than a Prime membership at Rs 1499. The benefits are slightly different, though, so the price difference makes sense.
Prime Lite members get free two-day and standard shipping. You’ll get free no-rush shipping and a cashback of Rs 25. Amazon is also offering Morning Delivery for Rs 175 per item to eligible addresses. Standard delivery is free with no minimum order value.
With an Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card, you can get 5% cashback on all purchases. Gift cards and digital purchases are exempt since they already get 2% cash back in addition to rewards everywhere else. You’ll also get early access to Lightning deals, exclusive Lightning Deals, and Deal of the Day.
You also get unlimited Prime Video access with Prime Lite. But you can only use it on two devices and stream High Definition (HD) movies, TV shows, and live sports.
