On May 31, Vivo will launch its highly anticipated Vivo S17 series in China. In addition to the Vivo S17e, which is already available in China, the lineup also includes the Vivo S17 and Vivo S17 Pro. China’s TENAA authority has certified both smartphones with model numbers V2283A and V2284A, reports TechGoing. TENAA has also approved another device with V2282A. The device will be marketed in China as the Vivo S17t, according to the publication.
Vivo S17 Series:
Vivo S17, S17t, and S17 Pro feature large AMOLED displays with curved edges. As of now, the TENAA certification has only revealed images of the S17 Pro. It is expected that the S17 and S17t will look quite similar to the Pro model. All three phones will feature displays with a 1.5K resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels. It is also expected that the screen will support a 120Hz refresh rate.
Vivo S17 trio will offer RAM options of 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB, as well as storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Vivo S17 smartphones are rumored to be powered by 4,505mAh (rated value) batteries.
They will all feature fast charging, and all three will have the OriginOS 3.1 user interface on top of Android 13. According to rumors, the Vivo S17 series will feature a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 front camera with autofocus. There is an under-display fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, and NFC on the entire series.
Vivo S17 & Vivo S17t:
It is believed that the Vivo S17 runs on Snapdragon 782G. The S17t, however, is powered by an unknown chip that operates at 3GHz. It is expected that both smartphones will support either 66W or 80W charging technology. The S17 and S17t will have a dual-camera setup with an OIS-enabled 50MP Sony IMX766V sensor and an 8MP Sony IMX355.
Vivo S17 Pro:
The Vivo S17 Pro is believed to be powered by the Dimensity 8200 processor. The device is said to support rapid charging at 80W. There are three cameras on the rear, including a 50MP Sony IMX766V main sensor with OIS, a 12MP Sony IMX663 telephoto sensor, and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens.
