Sony just announced its new Xperia 1 V flagship, with an Exmor T stacked sensor that promises to elevate low-light smartphone photography to a whole new level. The latest and greatest Snapdragon chipset and 21:9 4K OLED display are also available.

The new Xperia 1 V reminds us of its predecessor as it looks similar to it. It features triple rear cameras with a ToF sensor aligned vertically and the arrangement is similar to Xperia Pro. It comes with premium metal chassis with a glossy glass back. The Sony Xperia V will also feature a microSD card slot along with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It measures 8.3 mm thick and weighs 187g.

The new Sony Xperia 1 V will sport the same 6.5 inches 4K HDR OLED panel on the front. Do note that the massive 4K panel will even come with a 120Hz refresh rate along with HDR10+ and 10-bit color depth support. It also features TRILUMINOS Display for mobile, X-Reality for mobile, and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both the front and back of the device. The display on the new Xperia 1 V is almost 50% brighter than its predecessor.
The new Sony Xperia 1 V is powered by SD 8 Gen 2 SoC coupled with 12GB LPDDR5c RAM and 256GB/512GB storage space. It also gets MicroSD card support.
It will feature triple rear cameras with 52MP (f/1.9) 1/1.3.5″ Exmor T main coupled with 12MP 1/2.5” Exmor RS ultra-wide with f/2.3 aperture and 12MP periscopic telephoto lens with 60x lossless zoom. The device comes with 16mm ultra-wide, 24mm wide, and 85-125mm telephoto.
It gets 15.6x Hybrid zoom with RGB-IR and OIS support. The rear camera can record 4K HDR movies recording 24, 25, 30, 60, and 120fps slow-motion. It also gets Optical SteadyShot with FlawlessEye 14, and SteadyShot with Intelligent Active Mode (5-axis stabilization) support. There is a 1/2.9” Exmor sensor 12MP selfie camera on the front. The device also gets ZEISS T* coating, and Real-Time Eye AF (Human, Animal).
It runs on Android 13 OS with Sony UI on top. It also features IP65/68 rating which makes the device dust and water-resistant. All this is packed with a 5000 mAh battery with 30W fast charging & Qi Wireless charging support.
The connectivity option includes Dual SIM with 4G, 5G, LTE, and VoLTE support, Wifi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, and 3.5 mm audio jack. The device comes with stereo speakers with DSEE HX, LDAC, and Dolby Atmos support.
