A new generation of Samsung’s Galaxy Z series of foldable smartphones is set to launch soon. We have already covered various rumors and reports regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. The latest leak has revealed some of its specifications and even some of its design improvements.
In a new leak, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature several improvements over its predecessor. Gadgetsdata shared the information on Twitter. It will feature a Droplet hinge mechanism, according to him. As a result of this new and improved folding design, there will be no gaps when the device is folded, unlike its predecessor.

According to the leak, the upcoming foldable phone will feature a 7.6-inch display on the inside and a 6.2-inch display on the outside. The displays are both AMOLED panels that support a 120Hz refresh rate, which aligns with our previous report. The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. There is also a leak that a triple camera setup will be available on the rear, consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra wide-angle sensor, and a 10MP periscope lens with 3x optical zoom. The front camera is expected to be 12MP.
It will also be protected by an IPX8 rating and support Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It is likely that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will run on Android 13 OS with the One UI out of the box.
