In a recent Instagram interaction with tech influencer Rajiv Makhni, Poco India’s top executive Himansu Tandon shared some key details about the upcoming Poco F5 5G smartphone. Poco’s F5 5G will be available in two different color options – Carbon Black and Snowstorm White – and will be a premium offering in India.
In the base variant, the F5 5G comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and a 12GB RAM option might also be available. It features a triple-camera setup with a “Turbine-like” design on the back, and its primary sensor will be 64MP. It has thin bezels and a 93% screen-to-body ratio, plus a hole-punch cutout for the front camera.
According to Tandon, the F5 5G scored nearly a million on AnTuTu. Hence making it the highest-ever score for a Snapdragon 7-series phone. There’s also a possibility of a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. MIUI 13 will be layered over Android 13 out-of-the-box on the F5 5G.
While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, reports suggest the F5 5G could be a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo. There’s an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor on the Chinese version. A 16MP front camera is available for taking selfies. The POCO F5 comes with a 6.67-inch diagonal display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
