At the OnePlus 11 launch event, OnePlus announced that it would not launch any other smartphones in the OnePlus 11 series besides the OnePlus 11R. In addition to these foldable smartphones, OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 12 smartphone in 2023. According to tipped specifications, OnePlus will not bring a major upgrade over the existing OnePlus 11 5G device.
OnePlus 12 will continue to use a large 6.7-inch OLED display with QHD+ resolution, according to the tipster. There will also be no change to the refresh rate of 120Hz on the display. With the OnePlus 11, OnePlus used a similar-sized panel, an LTPO3 Fluid AMOLED with Doly Vision, HDR10+, and more. Probably the most significant change will be the upgrade to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
OnePlus 12 will receive another update that includes a periscope sensor. According to Yogesh, the device’s rear camera setup consists of a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP periscope.
The company will continue to offer a large 5000 mAh battery with 100W fast charging technology. Moreover, the tipster revealed when the smartphone will be released. It is expected that OnePlus will launch the device in China in December. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 might be the first processor on the OnePlus 12 smartphone.
