The Nokia XR21 smartphone is the first Nokia rugged smartphone with MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification and IP69K protection against dust and water. The “9K” at the end means that the Nokia XR21 can withstand close-range, high-pressure, and high-temperature spray-downs.

Nokia XR21 5G will feature a 6.49-inch IPS LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, according to the report. Gorilla Glass Victus will shield the screen.
With its display punch-hole, the XR21 will feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The back will feature a 64MP OmniVision main camera with an aperture of f/1.79, as well as an 8MP Ultra-wide sensor. It will be capable of recording videos in 1080p.
Nokia XR21 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 695. The device will ship with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Battery capacity is 4,800mAh and fast charging is supported at 33W via USB-C. Connectivity options include dual nano-SIM slots, eSIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device will include a fingerprint scanner on the side.
Nokia’s XR21 5G will come with an IP68-rated chassis that weighs 235 grams. Powered by Android 12, it will get OS upgrades until May 2026. Security updates will also be provided until 2027 for the device.
The handset is available in Midnight Black and Pine Green colors for £499 (Rs.51,300/-) in the UK. The release will take place in early June, but there is no word yet on international availability.
